Join our passionate Whangārei-based team dedicated to restoring the largest natural harbour in the Southern Hemisphere. KMR works collaboratively to support landowners, iwi and hapū, community groups and industry to take action to reduce sediment flow improve water quality into Kaipara Moana Harbour.  Make a difference by providing exceptional personal administration and governance support to the KMR leadership and board!

Te āheinga / The opportunity

In this exciting parental leave cover role, you will provide comprehensive governance and executive support across the Kaipara Moana Remediation programme. This includes supporting the KMR   Joint Committee with all governance processes such as scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and papers, arranging venues and catering (including with marae), attending meetings, taking minutes, coordinating follow-up actions, and maintaining action registers and forward work programmes.

You will provide high-level, confidential personal administrative support to the Pou Tātaki, including diary management, travel and logistical arrangements, programme reporting support, and coordination across corporate function

In addition, you will contribute to broader project and administrative support as required. This will include processing financial and contract documentation, supporting payment processes and preparing project and financial reporting.

This is a fixed-term position commencing in early August. While the role is full-time, we are open to negotiating reduced hours (down to 30 per week) for the right candidate. If this arrangement is of interest, please mention it in your cover letter.

He kōrero mōu / About you

To be successful in this role you are likely to have:

  • Substantial experience in providing governance and personal administration support at the executive level.
  • A good understanding of business planning, financial reporting and programme level administration.
  • Experience and understanding of te ao Māori and working with iwi/hapū, including familiarity with marae protocol.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite programmes. Previous experience with Sharepoint would be advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a ‘can-do' attitude.
