Northland Regional Council’s role is to care for and protect our incredible environment and communities. Does that resonate with you?
Ko te aha ā mātou mahi? / What work do we do?
We’re focused on creating a healthy environment, strong economy and resilient communities - matching our skills and resources with the vision and aspirations of our people. Our mahi involves working in partnership with tāngata whenua and our communities to protect and care for our waters, land, air and native life, while building our region’s resilience and adapting to a changing climate. When you join us, you’re part of something bigger- helping Te Taitokerau thrive for generations to come.
Toitū te whenua, toitū te moana, toitū te tangata. If the land is well, if the sea is well, the people will thrive.
Te āheinga / The opportunity
Due to internal movement, we’re on the lookout for a talented Marketing and Communications Advisor with a strong blend of creativity and strategic communication skills. This is your opportunity to help shape how we connect with our communities, designing and delivering campaigns, initiatives, and content that don’t just inform, but inspire and involve.
You’ll support the organisation at every level, crafting strong written content and developing compelling communication and marketing outputs that bring ideas to life. From shaping messaging and visual direction to designing and creating engaging collateral, you’ll work across print and digital channels to ensure our work resonates — collaborating with internal teams and external creative partners to deliver high-quality results.
You’ll be an innovative thinker, show attention to detail and adapt your approach to the challenges and objectives at hand. We’ll be relying on you to provide expert advice on how best to communicate and engage with a wide range of audiences. With an eye for risk, and the ability to cut to the crux of complex issues, you’ll ensure every output is clear, engaging, and aligned with our brand.
If you’re proactive, creative, and skilled at building relationships and aren’t afraid to think outside the box, this is your chance to make a real impact by shaping how council engages with its communities.
