Te āheinga / The opportunity
Join our Biosecurity team and take on an important administrative role that keeps our operations running at their best. You’ll be the central point of coordination for procurement and logistics, making sure the team has the materials, systems and support they need to deliver the Regional Pest Management Plan. From raising purchase orders, managing stock and overseeing transfers to receipting invoices and other financial responsibilities, your work will help keep essential biosecurity activities moving seamlessly.
You’ll be a trusted source of support for staff across the team, helping them navigate council processes, and keeping day‑to‑day operations running smoothly behind the scenes. Your confident communication skills will come into play as you respond to public enquiries, assist with pest‑control equipment sales, and contribute to workshops, shows, community events and other initiatives that promote responsible biosecurity practices.

We’re looking for someone who brings two plus years of experience in a similar administrative or procurement‑focused role; You’ll be confident working with the Microsoft suite and comfortable learning and using procurement‑related software. Experience managing materials, supplies and purchasing processes will set you up for success, along with a knack for staying organised and keeping systems running smoothly. Most importantly, you’ll enjoy supporting a team, juggling a variety of tasks, and bringing a calm, capable presence to a busy and purpose‑driven environment.
