Te āheinga / The opportunity
Our Information Technology team is seeking a skilled and customer‑focused Application Support Analyst to help keep our core business applications running smoothly, securely, and effectively for our organisation and community.
You’ll provide technical support and troubleshooting across our critical systems, maintaining application integrity, managing releases, and resolving issues through solid root‑cause analysis. You’ll also work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure support requests are handled professionally and resolved efficiently.
Alongside day‑to‑day support, you’ll contribute to the analysis, design, development, and implementation of our Enterprise Systems — including Financial, Human Capital, and Asset Management platforms — as well as other key council systems. Your knowledge of systems integration and data management in a hybrid‑cloud environment will help us continue to modernise and improve how we work.

Customer service is central to this role. You’ll bring strong people skills, and the ability to support colleagues across the organisation, and build productive relationships with stakeholders and managed service providers. In addition, you will bring the following:
- A degree or tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as an Application Support Analyst or in a similar role
- Experience in SQL for querying, reporting and managing databases
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and services
- Knowledge of Release Management methodologies
- Strong knowledge of applications, role-based security and understanding of security and identity management and associated policies
- Experience with scripting and automation tools
