Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of Northlanders? Join our Transport team and help shape the future of public transport across Te Tai Tokerau.
In this role you will be at the heart of managing and improving essential passenger services like CityLink, SchoolLink, and BusLink—ensuring they run smoothly, meet contractual obligations, and deliver exceptional customer experiences every day. From overseeing the Bee Card ticketing system and managing the Rose Street Bus Terminus to contributing to strategic planning, your work will directly influence how people move through the region.
This role includes an administrative component, where you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and supporting day-to-day operational tasks. You'll also gather, input, and analyse statistical data to monitor service performance, identify trends, and inform decision-making.
You’ll play a key role in contractor relationships, supporting renewals and retendering processes, monitoring operator compliance, and conducting health and safety audits. Your engagement across digital platforms and social media will keep the public informed and connected.

He kōrero mōu / About you
We are looking for someone who can bring the following skills, knowledge, personal qualities and experience to our diverse team:
- Qualification in a relevant discipline is desired.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in contract management. A background in passenger transport would be desirable but not essential.
- Strong community networking and engagement skills with the ability to be innovative around engagement processes.
- Displays cultural empathy and awareness.
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Comfortable working with digital systems and platforms.
