Te āheinga / The opportunity
This is an exciting new opportunity to shape the future of governance services and project delivery across council. You'll lead a small team of experienced, dedicated staff and be instrumental in building a high-performing unit that delivers exceptional governance support, ensuring effective and legislatively-compliant democratic processes, and facilitating a clear, accurate flow of information in a complex and ever-changing regulatory environment.
Beyond governance, this role offers the challenge of providing project management support across the organisation, and to be involved in strategic planning. By creating strong links between governance, strategic planning and project delivery, you will help shape integrated, future-focussed solutions.
He kōrero mōu / About you
Your background will include people management and governance administration, ideally within a local government setting, with a deep understanding of relevant legislation. You will be a skilled communicator with an ability to foster relationships in fast changing environments. You will have a relevant qualification and be known for building good relationships and delivering high-quality outcomes. Experience in project management will be an asset as well.
