Te āheinga / The opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Administrator to join the team. This role is part time, 27 hours per week with flexibility around days and hours worked. The role will support delivery of Northland Regional Council’s Climate Resilient Communities Fund and work across the Climate Action team offering dedicated coordination and administration support. 

Key responsibilities of the role will include maintaining Climate Resilient Communities Fund budgets and records, raising purchase orders, drafting funding deeds and securing progress reporting from fund recipients. You’ll also be interacting with our communities, listening to their aspirations, building relationships and helping to facilitate climate action across our region. This role plays an important part in building resilience to a changing climate to help our communities thrive into the future.  If working in a role where your mahi will have this impact appeals, then we want to hear from you!

He kōrero mōu / About you

We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills, who will excel at building trust, and maintaining positive interactions with colleagues and stakeholders. In addition, you will also bring the following:

  • 2 + years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong administration skills.
  • High level Proficiency in use of Microsoft applications especially Word, Excel and Outlook, 
  • Budget management experience.
  • Ideally have working knowledge and experience in data management such as IRIS or GIS systems.
