In this role you will support the Facilities and Fleet Manager in overseeing the council’s vehicle fleet, field equipment, and office facilities. From coordinating vehicle and building and maintenance, to ensuring procurement aligns with council policies, your work will help keep operations running smoothly. You will play a key role in maintaining secure, clean, and well-furnished workspaces, supporting regional offices, and occasionally assisting with canteen and catering logistics.
Your attention to detail will be vital as you help manage a robust vehicle maintenance program, ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy and safety compliant. You will collaborate with the Health and Safety team on incident reporting and insurance claims and serve as the point of contact for Garmin vehicle monitoring, security services, and Guardian Angel health and safety systems. This role includes a rotating on-call weekend duty—just one weekend per month—making it ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, varied environment.
