Te āheinga / The opportunity 

Join our team as a Data Analyst for a fixed term period of likely 8 months and develop data management tools to assist with our delivery refresh transformation. This position has the flexibility to be either full-time or part-time hours, so let us know what works for you!  

In this role you will enhance our business intelligence reporting by implementing best practice data management processes, covering everything from extraction and storage to cleansing, access, and analysis. You will drive data automation to refine processes across the organisation and provide crucial support during the selection, testing, and implementation of new software. 

You will collaborate with teams across the organisation to design and build Power BI reports, dashboards, metrics, and visualisations tailored to business needs. Working closely with Managers, you’ll deliver training, build user capability, and serve as a key point of contact for data, analytics, and reporting support.  

He kōrero mōu / About you 

We are looking for someone who can bring the following skills, knowledge, personal qualities and experience to our diverse team:  

  • A degree qualification in relevant discipline, or equivalent work experience. 
  • A minimum of two years in a similar role. 
  • Proven experience in developing ETL processes and working with data warehouses such as Azure Data Lake. 
  • Strong proven experience in designing and developing reports, dashboards and visualisations using Power BI (or comparable tool). 
  • Proficiency in a programming/scripting language such as Python, and a querying language such as SQL, Dax, or M query. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong communicator capable of discussing complex data concepts with both technical and non-technical audiences 
  • A proven track record of working with stakeholders to understand data needs and provide insights. 
  • Demonstrated experience in data integrity, ensuring completeness, accuracy and security of data. 
  • Experience in use of Microsoft applications especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
